The windows and doors that we manufacture have been certified to PAS24: 2016 standards, The British Standards Institute enhanced security test for windows and doors. They were tested by ERC Testing Ltd, a UKAS accredited testing house, at their laboratory in Pennington Court, Lancashire.
PAS24, BS 6375-1 is the enhanced security and severe weather rating for windows and doors. To achieve this British Standard, they must pass rigorous testing for air permeability, water tightness, and wind resistance. Secured by Design is the official security initiative from UK Police, and their product-based accreditation scheme provides a recognised standard for all security products that can deter and reduce crime. Here at R&V, we can manufacture windows and doors that meet the strict accreditation criteria of Secured by Design.
FENSA is the industry standard for replacement window and door installers, and it demonstrates self-certifying compliance with Building Regulations. Our FENSA registration number is 15288, and as a FENSA registered company, R&V clients are offered greater protection when purchasing double-glazing for residential properties.
We are an accredited Worksafe Contractor with the Safety Management Advisory Service, SMAS/SSIP, Constructionline and CHAS. This demonstrates our competency in health and safety, but also that we have the resources and ability to carry out duties listed under CDM 2015. The SSIP is a scheme that is externally audited annually and is supported by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).

SMAS Worksafe is the UK’s SSIP scheme of choice. R&V are committed to workplace safety, secure work and are a trusted organisation through our completion of SSIP assessments. We choose to take the lead in workplace safety regulations and compliance set by SAMS Worksafe.
CHAS (The Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme) is an accreditation awarded to R&V to show our achievement in excellent standards of health and safety procedures. CHAS is a founding member of SSIP showing the significance of this award.
